The Halsey Community Center is located on the first level of the City Hall Building at 100 Halsey Street, Halsey Oregon, 97348. It has about 55 linear feet of empty, white wall space. The City of Halsey offers this space to artists, students and other organizations for the display of art-work on a monthly basis.Artwork installations are approved and scheduled by city staff. Artwork displayed in the com-munity center must be appropriate for viewing by public officials, city employees, and citizens. Artwork is displayed at the risk of the artist, and must be installed and removed by the artist within the agreed upon timeframe. Staff cannot process sales, but the artist may have contact information on the work or available for staff to hand out.
We are interested in all different mediums, and especially in local and regional artists, associa-tions and students. Group shows are also welcome! The Community Center may be used for an evening reception, but in general, viewing hours are limited to the City of Halsey’s regular business hours: Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to noon and from 1:00 to 5:00 pm.The space is open to the public and occasionally rented to private parties after hours. There is no special security, so artwork is displayed at the risk of the artist.
