August Mayor’s Corner

Welcome to September! That sure got here fast!

Lots going on in the Halsey area. According to the Central Linn Schools Calendar, school starts Sept 6th, so watch out for kiddos walking or bicycling to and from school.  September 10th appears to be the date for the Cobra Car show.

September happens to be a month of celebration of a vast number of things…

· Baby Safety Month

· Happy Cat Month

· Hispanic Heritage – Month

· Honey Month —-yummm

· International Square Dancing Month —-nobody needs to see me dance

· National Blueberry Popsicle Month

· National Courtesy Month

As you may have noticed, the Hwy 99 project has kicked off. Lots of activities in that regard so please make sure to watch out for workers in or around the roadway. Visit the Highway 99 Updates Page for weekly construction updates.

Well, that about sums it up folks! Have an awesome month, smile and try to help someone have an awesome day!

As always… I remain YOUR Mayor, so please send me an email and let me know what you think or have to say.

-Mayor Jerry
