New Electric Vehicle Charging Station

We are excited to announce that there are now two new electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at City Hall.

This project was made possible with support from Pacific Power. The City of Halsey is honored and grateful to be a recipient of a generous Electric Vehicle Charging Station Grant from Pacific Power.

The grant has enabled the City to install a new Electric Vehicle Charging Station in the north parking lot at City Hall.  The station includes two level II chargers and is part of the SemaConnect network.  These EV charging stations can charge all electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles and are safe, reliable, and easy to use.

A small fee will be charged for usage, to offset the cost of power and equipment maintenance.  You can sign up for the SemaConnect network to get a pass, use the SemaConnect app, call 1-800-663-5633, or use the PlugShare app to pay.

The new stations will be a resource for those residents who are switching to EV cars for commuters, for vehicles traveling between Corvallis, Salem, Albany, or Eugene on Highway 99E, and may encourage folks to stop in Halsey for a while.  As EV market saturation increases, this may become a useful amenity to have in town.
