City of Halsey Councilor

I was raised in Chico, CA.  Met and married my husband, Bob, in 1953.  We had three children, two boys and one girl.  We lost our oldest son in a motorcycle accident.  He was sixteen.  We have six grandchildren, and one great grandson.

We moved to the Medford, OR area until we both retired, Bob from PP&L, and myself from Jewett Elementary Library in Central Point, OR.  We then decided we would like to live in a smaller town and found Halsey.  We are really happy here.  The people are very friendly and helpful.  It is a very beautiful place to be.

I joined the City Council three years ago.  I enjoy serving on the Council with its challenges and rewards.  I want to help keep Halsey as a clean, safe and friendly place to live.

City of Halsey Councilor

I was born in Halsey and have lived here most of my life.  I was a member of the last Halsey High School graduating class the year before the consolidation of the Halsey, Shedd and Brownsville schools into the Central Linn School District.

I attended Oregon State and the University of Oregon, receiving a Bachelor's Degree in General Social Studies and a teaching certificate in Arts and Crafts.  I served in the US Army, spending three years in Germany in counter-intelligence.  I've taught social studies and art.

For many years I helped my parents manage their rental properties in Halsey and am now engaged in renovating one property for future sale and building my eventual "retirement" home.

I've traveled many times in Europe to visit family and do genealogical research in the old records in many German towns.  My hobbies include family history research, photography, travel, square dancing and designing and building things.
